A year ago today, we defeated Motherwell 1-0 at Easter Road. Seven years ago today we faced up to the prospect of a relegation play off game with Airdrie after only drawing our final league game at Starks Park 1-1. This left us in 9th place in a 10 team Premier League. |

Division 1. It was the day that many grown up Hibs fans ran around like wee laddies on the Easter Road turf. It was joyous, it was a big party and yet it only took us back to where many think we should rightfully be. Not that that mattered at the time. |

This was perhaps the day we lost the 2001 Scottish Cup Final. After a wonderful season we capitulated in front of the sky cameras 5-2 at Easter Road. In fact we had been 5-0 down before Marc Libbra (he did like to score against Celtic) restored some respectability with two goals in the last five minutes.
