Back in 1958, Lawrie Reilly made his final appearance in a hibs jersey, on a Monday in a game against Rangers. He was only 29, had made 38 appearances for Scotland (a record that perhaps won't be beaten in my lifetime) and scored 22 goals. He also managed to score five goals at Wembley.

A year previous we drew with Kilmarnock, as managed then by Bobby Williamson. The team was: Colgan, Sauzee, Lovell (Lehmann, 81 ), Smith, Jack, Fenwick, Murray, O'Neil, Arpinon, Libbra (Zitelli, 84 ), McManus (Paatelainen, 64 ). The crowd was 8224 (the main stand was being redevopled at the time), and Marc Libbra scored for Hibs.
