Brown told the East Anglian Times: "I'm only in contract talks with one club, Colchester United, and I am hoping to see Phil Parkinson this week.I understand Tony Mowbray was in contact with my agent a couple of weeks ago but I have heard nothing since. Most managers are away now on holiday. So it is just speculation."

"I am obviously very flattered to be linked with Tony Mowbray and Hibernian and now these other clubs. I've been getting calls from all over, including Scottish papers. I've had another good season and picked up a player of the year award. Two awards in two seasons isn't bad. I was very happy with the way the season developed."

"But in the lower leagues you have to think about your future. Your career doesn't last very long. I am 27 now. I look at my performances at the end of each season and see if I am improving. This year things I wanted to work on came into place and I was pleased with the way it went."
