About

“Everything was in the space of six months. That’s all I can remember, scoring goals for Hibs then I was in the international scene and Rangers were interested in me. Things did come a bit too soon for me, being that young and not knowing quite how to deal with it. I have learnt since then and I think I know how to deal with things like that. Keep my head down, get on with my own game and be focused.”

“The last two years haven’t been great for my career but Tony’s come in and we’ve kind of clicked together. It’s been good for me and I’ve got back in. He works on attacking things, so it obviously helps me on the training ground. It’s just more passing drills and the way we play. There’s a few players in the international squad, so it’s good for the club."

“I wasn’t happy with myself last year. I wasn’t as sharp. I had a good pre-season and I have been staying late and doing a bit extra with the fitness coach. My weight does go up now and again, so I’ve got to do a little bit extra, watch what I am eating and things like that. The fitness coach is there and he can help you if you want to do a bit extra. Last season we didn’t have that. That’s something Tony Mowbray has brought in too. If you want to stay behind and do a bit then you are welcome to do that. That’s beneficial for me. As you get older, you start realising that you have to eat a bit healthier. At 18, 19, even 20 you’d maybe eat the wrong kind of things. There’s a dietician at Easter Road and she helps me with things like that.”
