There was the Scotsman, the Dane and the Frenchman but Tony appears to have settled on an Englishman to solve his missing left back problem.
Hibs have entered into contract talks with Middlesborough left back David Murphy to secure the 20 years olds place at Easter Road for the coming season.
Mowbray had played Alan Reid at left back for the Inter Totty games, and also played a Danish trialist last week. However, Murphy appeared on trial against Cardiff at the weekend and appears to have done enough to convince the boss to move.
The player was composed and skillful against the Welsh first division side on Saturday, and it comes as no surprise to this writer that Mowbray has decided to move. On the evidence of those 90 minutes [yes I know it was only a pre-season friendly] he will be a good solid addition to our squad. |
